Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and proactive Teaching Assistant to support students and educators in delivering high-quality, inclusive education that fosters academic growth, emotional well-being, and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support-
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across core subjects by supporting classroom routines and helping manage student behaviour.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help with learning tasks, transitions, or social interaction.
- Prepare and organise teaching materials, learning aids, and classroom resources to support effective instruction.
Inclusive Student Engagement-
- Support students with diverse learning profiles by implementing accommodations and differentiated strategies as guided by the classroom teacher and specialists.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment that promotes participation, confidence, and independence.
- Monitor and assist with daily routines, including transitions, toileting (where required), snack times, and movement breaks.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and the learning support team to implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and classroom strategies.
- Provide feedback on student progress, behaviours, or challenges to the teaching team and participate in team discussions or briefings.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with both students and colleagues.
